Stay cool with a tall cool glass of summer flavors! Infuse water, tap or bottled with your favorite combination of fruits and herbs. One of my favorites is cucumber with mint. Fill a glass jar or pitcher with your favorite water, be it bottle or tap add a peeled (if not organic) cucumber, sliced thin. Add 6-8 crushed mint leaves and refrigerate at least 4 hours. Fill your to go bottle with the flavored water and head to the beach. Try different flavors and experiment, suggestions include watermelon and basil, strawberries and basil, blueberries and oranges. Infused water provides you with fresh flavor, without any added sugar, and provides much needed hydration in the summer heat.

Or how about a cool "spirited" beverage, using fresh fruit and herbs! Try a sparkling rosemary and peach version of a Bellini. Try this recipe to serve four.
Rosemary syrup
1/4 Cup granulated sugar
1/2 Cup water
1-2 sprigs of rosemary
1 fresh peach cut into one inch pieces
Sparkling wine, champagne, or prosecco

In a small saucepan combine-sugar, water, and rosemary. Bring to a boil and remove from the heat. Let cool. Once cool strain the solids.

Place the cooled rosemary syrup and cut peaches into a blender. Blend until smooth. Strain after blended to remove any solids. Cool for several hours. Once cool, divide peach and rosemary mixture into four tall champagne flutes. Top off with sparkling wine of your choice! decorate with a sprig of fresh rosemary and enjoy!
